The Board of Directors at Reelwell AS are delighted to announce the appointment of Svein Strømberg as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2025.
Mr. Strømberg succeeds Ian Silvester, who will take on a new role as CEO & President for North and South America, based in Houston, Texas.. Ian has been instrumental in advancing Reelwell’s groundbreaking technologies to commercial readiness, and we look forward to his continued contributions as we expand our operations in the Americas.
Svein Strømberg joins Reelwell with over 31 years of extensive industry experience at Baker Hughes, where he began his career with Eastman Christensen. He has held a variety of senior leadership roles in engineering, operations, and management, both onshore and offshore, across Norway and internationally. His most recent positions include Operations Manager in Norway and Denmark, and Director of Drilling Services for Europe, Africa, and the Russia-Caspian region.
Commenting on his appointment, Svein Strømberg said:
